The Harlingen Area Builder's Association Annual Meeting

Harlingen area Builders Association recently held their April meeting.  HABA President, Armando Elizarde welcomed the members and Vice President, Arrellano Zapatero welcomed new members including Stith Contracting, and the Hope Lumber Company.  On hands as guest speakers were Place 4 and Place 5 Commissioner Candidates for the upcoming city elections set for May 12.  For Place 4 were Robert Leftwich, Humberto Zamora and Frank Puente.  Place 5 Candidates included Joe Rubio and Tom Hushen.  

Charity Committee Chairman Debbie Elizarde presented the TSTC Building and Technology Program with a $500 Scholarship to be awarded to a worth Student within the program.  She also announced the HABA mixer that will be held in April in celebration of the stage that was recently donated at Lozano Plaza in downtown Harlingen that will benefit the community for many years to come.  
Announcements were also made regarding the upcoming New Tour of Homes set for this summer.  Featured Associate Spotlight Member was “84 Lumber Company” who gave a presentation on the goods and services available at their San Benito location.
